My work uses the dynamics of motion to create an immersive and exciting gameplay. I also add a bit of imagination to the theme and gameplay. I like making a world that is a bit more than ours.
To incorporate these ideas, I always brainstorm game mechanics along and how to implement them in my chosen game engine, while being careful enough to leave room for change. I also have a starter theme at that point which I will dive deeper into during the programming. All methods are used to create a fun experience. For most of my life, I have believed that God created us to experience joy, especially through him. It is through this belief that I have a passion for gameplay that brings joy and excitement. For example, my prototype for the game “Beetle Ball” uses physics and high speeds for a thrilling experience. Powerups and abilities also add variation and player agency to the game to prevent boredom and frustration. All these elements put together to help people in their main objective. That’s really all my work is about. First and foremost, I try to honor God with my work, and I tend to do that by making games that bring joy to people through exciting gameplay. Though I am focusing on traditional systems and mechanics, I do have plans on branching out to make more “experimental” games (perhaps using live film). I hope you all come to enjoy it when that time comes. |
